Summer is ending up there in the north hemisphere so I thought I'd help you guys to say good bye to it.
It was taken in the end of this years summer here in Brazil, southern hemisphere, on february. I was coming back to the beach house when I saw this spectacular sunset. I immediately ran to the water to have a different composition with reflections and stuff. Almost lost my camera in the process EDIT: Now available as a print. CommentsThanks Michelle, I'm glad you like it a bit
-- I'm here to bring you colors, variety and thoughts with my Photography. Yay! That sunset was gorgeous indeed. Actually, the northeast part of Brazil is known for the beauties of its beaches and I must say that everyday the sun makes a couple of spectacles for those who wanna appreciate it
I'm glad you like the pic and could see a thing from Brazil here. Thanks a lot! -- I'm here to bring you colors, variety and thoughts with my Photography. |

The framing is perfect. Sky, earth and water, all appear in the frame with the right proportions. The sky is taking a little more space than the sea just to give depth to the setting. (With more water, we wouldn't be able to "look up", while more sky would make us not pay the appropriate attention to the sea.) The coastline, a thin barrier between the sea and the sky, moves away from us, emphasizing the right perspective.
The sun, strategically positioned, almost following the "rule of thirds" is emphasizing the palm trees' outlines. A very nice touch indeed and suitable for sunset photos!
The various range of shapes, heights and colorations of the clouds and the sky are a unique combination that gives this composition it's dreamy feeling. Thanks to the timing of the photographer of course!
As a final touch , the small waves, the palm trees' leaves direction and the clouds let us feel the breeze and experience the movement into the frame.
I should also point out that this deviation's title is perfect for the photograph, another great attribute, if you ask me
All-in-all a great photograph, and congratulations to =oO-Rein-Oo!
